William LeRoy Jackson

Our loving father, Roy Jackson, passed away on June 3, 2024, after a short illness.  He was born December 31, 1936, in Provo, Utah to Orvell and Neva Jackson.  He married Carolyn Gamett on September 18, 1957, in the Salt Lake Temple.  She passed away approximately one year ago and he missed her dearly.  He loved taking care of her and being with her while watching the Hallmark channels.

Roy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  He attended Provo High School.  He loved working with his hands and wanted to build a boat out of wood.  He worked for approximately 30 years at Klune Industries in Spanish Fork Utah.  He was a skilled engineer, draftsman, machinist, mechanic, and carpenter.  He was a very generous person and especially liked to donate to children’s hospitals.

Roy is survived by seven of his children: Brian (Cindy) Jackson, Julie Giles, Scott (Cheryl) Jackson, Sherrie (Roy) Payne, Brad (Jody) Jackson, Karolee (Paul) Muniz, and Nicole (Damien) Peters; 23 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and his siblings JoAnn and Leon.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son-in-law (Tracy Giles), a loving son (Craig L Jackson), grandson  Darren Thomas Jackson and great-grandson Arthur Wayne.

There will be a viewing on Friday, June 7, 2024, at the Spanish Fork Walker Mortuary from 6 – 8 pm.  A graveside service will be held at the Provo City Cemetery on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 10:30 am.  The family wishes to thank the kind staff at Legacy House assisted living center in Spanish Fork for their loving support.
