Walter David French, age 78, of Payson, Utah passed away on September 28, 2026. He was born in Waltham, MA, to Robert and Adeline French. Wally married Linda Chamberlain on December 17,1966 in Waltham, MA, they raised their family in Billerica, MA.  Following retirement they moved to Payson, UT. They enjoyed 60 years together.

Wally attended Waltham High School. He worked at Longview Fibre Co. in Waltham, MA as a General Foreman for over 30 years.

Wally will be remembered for his kindness and his love of gardening, woodworking, and fishing with his buddy Bill. During retirement Wally and Linda enjoyed traveling around the country in their RV.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; his daughters, Teresa (Brian) and granddaughters Colleen and Emma, and daughter, Anna.  He is predeceased by his sister Roberta and both parents.
