Shirlene was the neighborhood mom. Any friends of her children were friends of hers. She was devoted to her children and made sure each day that dinner was on the table. She loved unconditionally. If you stopped by to visit, you would be welcomed with the love of a mother no matter who you were.

Shirlene loved Senior Citizens and looked forward to going every week. She always had a smile on her face no matter what problems she was dealing with. She had many friends there that she loved and cared for.

She and Tom were active with horse racing most of her life. It was a joy for her to be involved and they had many horses that raced in many local and out of state events.

She loved going to the horse races in Evanston. She was a regular there and the management and race patrons loved talking to Shirlene. This year they surprised her with a birthday cake honoring her special day. She has so many families and friends that are going to miss her positive attitude and love.

For the past twenty years, Shirlene has attended the National Rodeo Finals in Las Vegas. She would travel with friends, and they loved going every year. It was one of her favorite things to do and she would look forward to going making plans for each event.
