Shela Marelda Emmons, 60, of Payson, Utah passed away on March 16, 2020 in her home. Shela was born on November 24, 1959 in Provo, Utah to John William and Ardella Riley Emmons. She attended schools in Springville, Santaquin and Payson, where she received her GED.

She was employed at Morris Quilting in Payson where she was a seamstress. Shela loved volleyball, sewing, shooting guns, and collecting jewelry, gems and precious stones. She enjoyed going to Yuba Lake with family every year. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Shela is survived by her father John William Emmons, children; Jeff ‘LeRoy’ Emmons of Rangely, CO; Melinda Jean Chavez of Payson, UT; and Johnny ‘Gage’ Emmons of Payson, UT, 6 grandchildren; Jesse, Shyanne, Cody S., Kaleb, Roarie, and William, and siblings; Cathy (Josh) Twitchell of Provo, UT; Gene Emmons of Provo, UT; Lora Balzly of Rock Springs, WY; Donna Emmons of Payson, UT; Patty Emmons of Hemdan, VA; and Jeff Emmons of Uintah, UT.

She was preceded in death by her mother Ardella Riley Emmons, and son Cody Emmons.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
