Obituary

Scott Frantz passed away peacefully, April 21, 2022, and was greeted by his mother’s open arms. Scott was born January 25, 1982 in Payson, UT to Lois Meyer and grew up in Spanish Fork. He was a cub scout, enjoyed bowling, and loved to play basketball. When he was 8 his mother married Michael Frantz, who adopted him and his sister Natalie; the family grew with the addition of Travis, Christopher, and Heather. Scott was baptized as a member of the LDS church and was happy when he was sealed to his mom.

Scott had a special bond with his grandparents. His favorite smell was Grandpa’s shed because it reminded him of Grandpa teaching him various skills. He spent a lot of time with Grandma and when he came into her house, he often greeted her with “Hi Mom.”

Scott graduated from Landmark High School in Spanish Fork, and went on to pursue computer certification classes. Scott was a hard worker, it was his trademark, and whatever job he was doing, you knew it would be done well. His most recent work was as an Inventory Analysis Specialist at Liberty Safe in Payson.

In April 2007, Scott married Amanda Napier, and in 2010 his beloved son, Braeden Scott Frantz was born. They were later divorced.

During this time in his life, he also lost his mother after her battle with ALS on June 29, 2009. Scott and his mom’s favorite thing to do together was to go boating. She took him on a special trip to Lake Powell which was one of his most cherished memories. His mom was his world, and he was devastated by her passing.

While getting back on his feet, he took a job at Little Giant Ladders in Springville where he met the love of his life, Brittanie Fullmer. Scott and Brittanie were married in a beautiful outdoor ceremony on June 18, 2016 in Payson, UT. They made their first home together in Spanish Fork with Braeden, and Brittanie’s children, Dillan and Joslynn.

Scott loved golfing, riding his motorcycle, boating, RC cars, video games, and spending time with family. He loved going to “the property” to go four-wheeling and target shooting with his brothers.

In 2017, Scott and Brittanie purchased a home in Santaquin, UT. Scott was excited to be a homeowner and took great pride in keeping the house clean and his yard in order. He was a good host and loved having family dinners and barbeques and especially loved spending time with his nieces, nephews — and all of the kids.

Scott courageously fought many serious health challenges over the span of 20 years, and despite it all hoped for a brighter future. He believed in helping others, hard work, and showing up for his family.

James Scott Frantz is survived by his spouse, Brittanie (Fullmer) Frantz, his son, Braeden Frantz, step-children Dillan Fullmer and Joslynn Vaughan; father, Michael (Deb) Frantz, siblings Natalie “Newt” (Christopher) Case, Travis Frantz, Christopher (Harlee) Frantz, and Heather Frantz; grandparents, Richard and Thelma Meyer, Beverly Frantz; uncles, Joseph (Cathy) Meyer, Darren (April) Meyer; aunt Lisa (David) Segner, and a wonderful assortment of cousins, nieces, nephews, bonus family, and in-laws.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Eileen Anderson; father-in-law, Kelly Fullmer; grandfather, Edwin Frantz; and nephew Jayden Case.
