Rozina D. Woodland, born in Brigham City, UT on May 23, 1945. Rozina's life was a life filled with service. When you would ask Rozina about her childhood the story always began, "I was helping Dad…" That service which started at a very young age never stopped. Once she was married she still went over weekly and mowed the lawn for her Dad and every Saturday morning she set her mom's hair in pin curls.
Rozina was a supremely devoted wife and mother. No one can ever forget the loving way she took care of Dan throughout his years of cancer. Once her children were grown Rozina's service turned toward the temple. For several years, she drove every week to Boise to work in the temple. When the Twin Falls, Idaho temple was built she continued her work there. She spent the last several years of her life attending the Payson, Utah temple three times a week. One of the hardest decisions Rozina ever made was four weeks ago, when she realized her health would no longer allow her to serve in the temple. It broke her heart. She worrried about all the work that still needs to be completed. Rozina was truly an elect lady. The word we hear most often to describe her is "sweet". We are certain that her reunions in heaven were just as sweet as she always has been and always will be.
Rozina was the beloved mother to Joe Woodland (Melissa) , Jackie Brown (Jared), and Peggy Rothaug (Rick). She has 16 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her father David Olague, her mother Madalyn Reay, her husband Dan Woodland, her brother LeRay Smith, and sister Ramona Peterson.
A graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, 2296 Kimberly Rd, Twin Falls, Idaho, 83301 , on Thursday, 15 Oct 2026 at 11:00 am MDT.
