Roy Allen Marchant, age 57, lost his long fight against cancer on Tuesday, September 13, 2022.

Roy was a lover of the outdoors and spent his career working for the Utah Division of Natural Resources. He was an avid reader and enjoyed working with wood. Life was a passion for Roy, and he rarely did anything part way.

He covered his basement wall with vintage Coca-Cola signs and loaded shelves with Coca-Cola paraphernalia. But to Roy, the only true Coke was one purchased at McDonald’s. He had an amazing sense of humor and loved to laugh.

Others knew Roy as a loyal friend and a compassionate man. But what mattered most to Roy was always his family, especially his children and grandchildren. His eyes lit up whenever he spoke of them.

For Roy, food was an experience to be savored. He loved to cook and gathered his family for Sunday dinner every week. During football season, dinners need to be scheduled around the game schedule since he never missed watching his beloved Raiders.

He is survived by his children: Kailey, Mickelle, Ethan, and Jaron, his grandchildren: Mauri, Gatlyn, Axton, and Stevie, as well as his brothers and sisters, Jalane, Gary, Sharie Sue, Julie, Evan, Jane, and Wendie. He will be greatly missed.

A graveside service will be held in his honor at the Peoa Cemetery in Peoa, Utah on Friday, September 16, 2022, at 11:00 a.m.
