Obituary

In the afternoon of March 2, 2026, our beloved Ross A Williams passed away peacefully in his Spring Lake home, surrounded by the love of his life and his family.

Ross was born November 27, 1942, to Hannah Isabell Atwood Williams and William Jones Williams. His home was filled with love and laughter with his siblings Jay (Deanna) and Shirlee (Dwayne), forming bonds that shaped them forever. They settled in Strawberry, living as the last of the true cowboys. Growing up he learned about hard work, dedication, and love of the outdoors.

Ross married his sweetheart, Jolene (Jody) Bigler, on January 21, 1967, in Payson, UT. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on January 21, 1992.  Together they created a strong, connective family full of love, laughs, comradery, and quality time. He was the father of three children Tyler (Eric McCracken) Williams, Rhett (Sheila) Williams, Casey (Melyna) Williams. Each of them viewed their father as the superman he was. As a father, he was a handyman, master landscaper, craftsman, and showed unconditional love and acceptance to his children.

Ross was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His testimony of the Savior and Heavenly Father was the foundation of his life, shaping the way he served, the way he loved, and the strength he carried through every season.

Ross was a proud member of Utah Laborers Local Union 295, where he began his career as a laborer.  He then became a Business Agent for the Union, after which he was elected as Business Manager in a position he held for decades.

In his free time, Ross and his family spent their time at their second home in Teasdale, UT. In this home, their family created many memories together, including riding four-wheelers, hiking, hunting, and many late nights of card games, although he was most passionate about fishing with his beautiful bride. The times in Teasdale were always a special thing, and became a place loved by his children, grandchildren, and great grandsons.

Ross leaves behind his loving wife, his three children, 14 grandchildren, and six great grandsons. Each of them, if asked, would insist they were his favorite. Ross always made sure everyone felt loved and special in their own way. He was supportive, kind, and could make anyone laugh with his fun personality.

In his final chapter, Ross continued to love. He was always the best example of a loving, devoted husband with a love story anyone could admire. To know Ross was to be blessed by him. To be loved by him was a gift that we will all treasure and remember him by. Spending time with Ross was full of laughter, funky snacks, and never really knowing if he was allergic to peanuts.

The family would like to thank Bonnie Ballard and the team at iCare for making one of the most intense experiences of our lives so much smoother.
