Obituary

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, Robert Martin Strebel, returned to his heavenly home on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at the age of 84.

Robert was born on May 20, 1935 to Weston and NeilIa Strebel in Provo Utah where he was the third of five children.

He graduated from Provo high school in 1953 and then enlisted in the United States Marines the next year. He served for two years in the Marines Corps before enlisting in the Air Force where he proudly served for 20 years. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked for an additional 20 years for the United States Postal Service.

He met Janet Perkins in the summer of 1957 and, after diligent pursuit, she married him on February 18, 1959, for all time and eternity, in the Salt Lake City Temple. Together they raised five children. His greatest joy in life were his 18 grandchildren and his 18 great-grandchildren.

Robert was very active in the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day Saints where he had many callings. He especially loved his calling to serve in the Temple. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling with his family and friends. He was an avid antique car enthusiast.

He is survived by his wife Janet and children, Robin and Tony Lazenby, Carter and Teri Strebel, Whitney and Steve Bancroft, Weston and Cori Strebel, and Matthew and Karla Strebel. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Glen, Joan, Ann, and Dean.
