Robert J Measom passed away peacefully at the age of 92 in Payson, Utah, leaving behind a lifetime of love, service, cherished memories, and a legacy of devotion to his family, faith, and country.

Robert was born on August 29, 1934, in Provo, Utah, to Frank J Measom and LaRue Moore Measom. He grew up alongside his two sisters, Patty and Janet.

He graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 1953 and also completed his seminary education with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that same year. As a young man, Robert earned the rank of Eagle Scout, an early reflection of his dedication, determination, and willingness to serve others.

On September 10, 1959, Robert married the love of his life, Erma Mae Olson, in the Manti Utah Temple. Together, they began a beautiful life filled with love, family, and lasting memories. They first made their home in Spanish Fork, later moved to Nephi, and eventually settled in Payson in March of 1961, where they planted their roots and raised their family.

Robert proudly served his country, beginning his military career in 1957. After 37 years of dedicated service, he retired in 1994 with the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 3. His love for his country ran deep, and his years of military service were a source of great pride.

His patriotism and dedication to his fellow service members continued long after his military retirement. Robert was an active member of The American Legion for over 30 years, generously giving his time and talents to an organization that meant so much to him. His commitment to honoring veterans and serving his community was another reflection of the loyalty and dedication that defined his life.

Robert was also a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Throughout his life, he willingly served in various church callings, sharing his time, talents, and testimony with those around him. His faith was an important part of who he was, and he quietly demonstrated his beliefs through a lifetime of service, kindness, and love for others.

Robert was a man who loved deeply and wholeheartedly. He loved his family, his country, and his beloved BYU Cougars. His loyalty was unwavering, and when Robert loved something or someone, he loved with his whole heart.

He found joy in life's simple pleasures—camping, going for rides in the car, enjoying a good bowl of ice cream, and spending time with those he loved most. He especially treasured his grandchildren, who brought him immeasurable happiness.

Robert was happiest when he was busy fixing something, lending a helping hand, or finding a way to make someone's life a little easier. He had a gift for being able to fix things, but perhaps his greatest gift was his willingness to help others. If something needed to be done, Robert was always ready to lend a hand.

He was a man of loyalty, love, quiet strength, and service. He showed his love not only through words but through the things he did every day. Whether it was fixing something that was broken, taking a drive, sharing a laugh, or simply being there when someone needed him, Robert had a way of making those around him feel loved and cared for.

While his family will deeply miss his presence, they will forever cherish the memories he created, the lessons he taught, and the love he so freely gave.

Robert was proceeded in death by his wife Erma, his parents Frank and LaRue Measom, and his sister Patty Done.   Robert is survived by his sister Janet Sidman (Mike) Spanish Fork, Utah, his children Robert L Measom (Stacey) Spanish Fork, Utah, Kris Richardson (Chad) Heber, Utah, Kurt J Measom ( Stephanie) Elk Ridge, Utah.
