Obituary

Steve Brannin, age 74, died November 18, 2022, in Payson, Utah, of cardiac arrest.  He was born in St Petersburg, Florida on February 13, 1948, to William Earl and Clydia M. Brannin.  He lived in Pinellas Park, Florida until he was sixteen, when his family moved to Provo, Utah.

While attending Utah Technical College in 1966, he met Kaye Chambers.  She became his wife and partner in life in 1967.  They were blessed with three children: Tracy, Mike, and Robert.

Steve worked for Geneva Steel from 1967 until the plant closed.  He then went back to school at Utah Valley University where he earned his associates degree.  After graduation, he went to work for UVU as a painter until he retired.

He loved anything with a motor – cars, trucks, motorcycles (especially his Harley), sand rails, quads, and side by sides.  He not only worked on them, he and his boys built some of them.  His greatest pleasure was working on some project with his kids.  He loved camping, riding on sand dunes or trails, or just hanging out with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his beloved grandmother, Elda; and sister, Debbie.  He is survived by his wife, Kaye; his three children: Tracy,  Mike (Darcy),  and Robert (Lori); four sisters: Taska, Syd, Marty, and Lolita; and his brother, Don Ewin; along with 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Special thanks to everyone who helped us get him to the hospital and to the hospital staff at Mountain View Hospital who took such very good care of him.  Also, special thanks to the best neighbors in the world, Kelly and Brenda Warner.

As Steve requested, there will be no funeral service at this time.
