Percy “PJ” Jones, 69, died peacefully in his sleep the morning of May 6, 2022, at the University of Utah hospital under hospice care due to a heart condition.

He was born February 10, 1953, in Eunice, Louisiana, and was soon adopted and raised in San Fernando, California to loving parents, Lee and Elmaira Jones. Percy graduated from San Fernando High school in ‘71 and went on to marry his first wife, Dorothea (later divorced) with whom he had two children, Cameron and Shamia Jones.

Percy met his best friend and partner for life, Teresa Waters, while working in Las Vegas, Nevada at Sun Country Airlines together where they would soon have 2 sons, Alex “Claire” and Soren. They were later married in Spanish Fork, Utah in 2004, where he gained 3 stepchildren, Jake Rosenbaum (Estephany), Leah Rosenbaum Albright (Alan), and Anita Rosenbaum.

After years of hard work, holding various work positions, he went on to spend his retirement years doing what he loved most; fishing, camping, and spending time with his family. Percy’s wishes, which will be honored, were to be cremated and his ashes to be spread in the ocean.

Percy is survived by his wife, Teresa, 7 children (3 step), and 11 grandchildren. He is proceeded in death by his parents and 4 siblings.

Sympathies/visitation will be held, Friday, May 27, 2022 from 6:00-7:30 pm followed by a combined family memorial/luncheon Saturday, May 28, 2022 from 11:00 am -1:00 pm. Both will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1552 E. Canyon Rd. Spanish Fork, Utah
