Morgan Dea Sorensen
York
Mar 1, 1977 — Sep 7, 2020
Morgan Dea Sorensen York’s life ended on September 7, 2020, after a long battle with depression and anxiety. She left behind a husband, Tyler York, a daughter Alexandria Justice Relph Adams(Adam), two sons Dallon Cole Relph and Skyler Benjamin Johnson. Parents Shirl D. Sorensen and Mickey L. Stevenson Sorensen. Brothers Jereme H. Sorensen(Haley), Jory Q. Sorensen(Noelle). Many beloved uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and one beautiful granddaughter Aizley Linn Adams.
Morgan was born on March 1, 1977 in Payson,Utah. She graduated from Landmark High school in Spanish fork, Utah. She worked at the Utah State Hospital as a Recreation tech for many years and loved that , then she completed POST as a Utah corrections officer at the Fred House Academy and worked at the Draper Utah State Corrections Facility for a combined total with the state for seventeen years.
She enjoyed and had a talent for drawing/sketching, making hemp necklaces with beads for herself and those she loved, reading, hiking, spending time with her family, especially supporting her children’s endeavors such as her son Dalllon’s pursuit in the music industry, attending his concerts, going on rides and Adventures with Skyler, spending time with her granddaughter Aizley going down to Mona to visit the Animals especially Cecil the Camel, he was their favorite. She enjoyed just chatting about life with her daughter Alexandria, going for rides , listening to music they thought a lot alike in their views on this world we live in and would spend many hours talking about it. Morgan gave the best hugs, she loved visiting family in Alaska, family outings and trips. Morgan loved her special childhood pet Breezy the raccoon. When she grew up she obtained one of her own, Bubba and she loved him dearly and her Dog Kaia.
Morgan always saw the good in broken lives, but could not fix her own, although she tried and fought so hard. She had a tender, empathetic heart for everyone she loved. She put others above herself and their struggles. She battled especially hard these past several years with the demons of depression and anxiety, which took its final toll and has taken her from us. May she finally have the peace she fought and sought after.
These are some final words from her husband Tyler.
“Morgan was the most beautiful human being I have ever met, she had a heart of gold and a smile that was so big that it would light up the darkest of skies. She was my “puzzle Piece” and was the missing piece to my happiness. She completed my puzzle in life. She was perfect to me and I will miss her terribly till I see her again. She was the bravest woman I know and impacted everyone she met. Rest in peace Baby Doll, I love You with all my heart and hope I will be reunited with you in the Neon Blue again.”
