Mitchell Vaughn
Loveless
Jul 16, 1988 — Feb 10, 2023
Mitchell Vaughn Loveless of Payson, Utah began his next journey on Friday, February 10th, 2023, at the young age of 34. Mitch was a devoted father, husband, son, brother, and friend who took pride in each of those titles in a way that shined brightly from his core.
Mitch was born July 16, 1988, to Doug and Annette (Dansie) Loveless on a hot summer day. Mitch was the baby of the family and joined older siblings Nate, Cami, and Gerald. He loved spending time outdoors and hanging out with his family growing up, which included many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He looked back fondly on his time as an honorary “Dansie girl” and his adventures with his Uncle Dan and Aunt Cindy and gaggle of cousins. He talked about wanting to move further south, though not too far from home, because he had such fond memories of his time spent with his Uncle Evan and Aunt Raelyn and his cousins down in Salina. Most notable of his connections as a young boy though, was his beloved Grandma Anne. They shared a special bond and connection, and it was with her that his protective nature showed so early.
Mitch loved playing sports, riding horses with his dad, and being up on the mountain with the ones he loved. He had many different hobbies and talents that lasted well through his adulthood. Mitch could have whole conversations in movie quotes with his brother and his son using a movie he’d seen once a decade prior. Mitch had a talent for looking something up out of curiosity, trying it out, and excelling nearly every time. He loved to hike and hunt and sit around the campfire, but he also loved to read and cook and crotchet. There wasn’t much that Mitch could not find joy in doing. He was a good friend and someone you could call on in a time of need and know that he would drop whatever he was doing and be there at a moment’s notice. Mitch’s laugh was contagious and unique with the way he held it in and let his shoulders do the work.
Mitch started his journey of fatherhood early and loved every bit of it. With his high school sweetheart, Kelsey, he welcomed his firstborn son Aiden on January 10, 2007. Though they chose to continue as co-parents and ended their relationship, they always put Aiden first and made sure to stay a united front to give him a life he could love. Mitch grew as Aiden did and took time to learn who he was, who he wanted to be, and who he wanted to grow old with.
As time passed, Mitch and Aiden moved in with his brother Gerald and the three amigos lived in Benjamin together until Gerald’s passing in 2017. Navigating that grief was a struggle and Mitch handled that by focusing on the well-being of those around him, especially Gerald’s love, Amy. This guided him to meet the love of his life and partner, Kristina Loveless (Taylor). They knew from the moment they met that they found their person and didn’t delay in starting their life together. Kristina came with four children from her first marriage, Makayla, Michael, Madilyn, and Alexa and Mitch slid right into being their stepdad. He loved them as though they were his blood. Together, Mitch and Kristina welcomed Arabella in 2019 and Anastasia in 2022. He doted on his baby girls and made sure he was their favorite person. Mitch and Kristina worked to ensure their relationship remained healthy and they prioritized providing stability and a happy, loving home for their children to grow in. Mitch put Kristina through nursing school and encouraged her to follow her dreams. He recently signed up to do the same and Kristina was excited to support Mitch to attain his main goal, which was to work to live, not live to work. He wanted to travel and enjoy his days with his family and while he was proud of the work he did as a warehouse manager; he was ready for a new adventure to begin.
Mitch is survived by his devoted wife, Kristina; his kids Makayla, Aiden, Michael, Madilyn, Alexa, Arabella, and Anastasia; his parents Doug and Annette; his siblings Nate (Janice) Loveless and Cami (Dan) Jensen; his plethora of nieces and nephews; his Grandma Anne; and his vast, loving extended family of which he was so very proud to be a part of. He was preceded in death by big brother and best friend, Gerald, his Grandpa Clint Dansie, and his Grandparents Gerald (Pat) Loveless.
