Mary Ella Lazenby Ross passed away at age 78 on March 18, 2025. She was born March 16, 1947, to Violet Emeline Rose Lazenby and Walter Monterville Lazenby in Payson, Utah. She resided in Santaquin, Utah most of her 78 years with her husband Al Ross who preceded her in death just 2 years ago. Together they raised four children, Lisa Ross, Todd Ross, Jennifer Ross-Lang and Robert Ross.

Ella’s pride and joy was her 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. In her last few hours of life she made the promise to take care of her son
and grandchildren who had already tragically left this earthly plane, her son Todd Ross, grandsons Shayne Dewitt, Anthony Marlo Lang, Dakota Olsson
Lang, Jakob Trea Olsson, and beautiful great-granddaughter Hailey EllaMarie Haws. This gesture was very symbolic to her true nature as a grandmother.

Ella worked many years as a restaurant manager. She was known to be a bossy, sassy, firecracker whom everyone loved. She made lifelong friends in the restaurant business. She loved people and she never said no to anyone needing a helping hand. She also was very proud of her graduation from Utah College of Massage Therapy. She worked in her daughter’s wellness clinic before retiring. After she retired, she enjoyed spending time making her yard look pretty and she was very talented at finding the best stuff at yard sales!

Ella’s last words were of her husband Al, they were married 60 years. She missed him terribly after his death. She expressed excitement at seeing him again and acted like a giddy teenage girl which brought love and peace to our hearts and minds as we rejoice in their reunion!

to 8:00pm. It will be hosted by her church friends and neighbors in Santaquin, UT at 345 West 100 North. (LDS Church house)
