She leaves behind her husband of 56 years, Ken Nosack; her sons, Kris and Kurt Nosack; her daughter, Michelle Shepherd; and her siblings, Larry, Marlyn, Janet and Don.

Mary was born in Pioche, Nevada to Cyril and Donna, and grew up in Midvale, Utah. She graduated from Jordan High School.

They then moved to back to Midvale, Utah where Michelle and Kurt were born. Later the family moved to American Fork, then Lehi, then Covered Bridge Canyon where they built a log home.
