Mark Elliott Hogan, age 67, passed away on October 26, 2026 doing what he loved. He was born in Merced, California, to John Robert Hogan and Valera Elliott Hogan. At a young age, his family moved to Payson, Utah where they became a major staple to the community. He attended first grade at Peteetneet elementary in Payson where he met his future high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Willetta Farr. Payson was always home and where they chose to spend the rest of their lives together raising their beautiful family.

Mark will be remembered by all who knew him as a kind and caring individual who touched the lives of everyone he encountered. Of all the things he held dear in this life, his friendships were among the most important. Anyone lucky enough to call him a friend knew that Mark was the kind of person who would do anything for anyone. When it came to giving his time to others, Mark gave his in abundance and without hesitation.

Mark found his true passion in the outdoors, always looking for opportunities to share the majestic beauty of the mountains and wildlife with his family and loved ones. He became a friend and mentor to many, sharing his passion for the outdoors and instilling that same love in others.

There is one thing that defined Mark more than anything, where he found his purpose and pride, this is without question his family. His lovely wife, his children, and grandchildren. It was his life's goal to make sure he was always there for each of them. No matter what was going on, whether it was a performance, a sporting event, or anything else that was important to them, everyone knew Mark would be there. Each member of his family feels blessed to have so many cherished memories of their father and their beloved Bobo, who was always there to make them feel special.

There was only one thing Mark held more sacred than anything else in this life: his relationship with his Father in Heaven and his Savior, Jesus Christ. His testimony of the gospel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was his most prized possession. Mark was unwavering in his efforts to honor his covenants and live as obedient as his mortal self could, with the faith and knowledge that he would be with his family and loved ones for all eternity.

Mark is survived by his wife, Willetta Farr Hogan; his children, Kurtis (Brooke) Hogan, Kyle Hogan, Wes (Candice) Hogan, JoQell (Bodie) Taylor, and Trisha (Benton) Locke; and his 18 beloved grandchildren, who will carry an abundance of treasured memories with them throughout their lives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Robert Hogan and Valera Elliott Hogan, and his brother, Brian Hogan. He is also survived by his siblings, Kathy (Steve/deceased) Farr, Michelle (Wayne) Anderson, Robert (Debra) Hogan, and Corrine (Randy) Muhlstein.

Mark's life and memory will forever remain a cherished part of his family's story.

Though words cannot fully express the sorrow of losing Mark, we can find comfort in his testimony, knowing that he is still here with us and that we will see him again through our Heavenly Fathers plan.
