Our beautiful mother, wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Margaret Marie Gonzalez, of Payson, Utah, passed away unexpectedly on January 20, 2024, at the age of 65.

Margaret was born August 19, 1958, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to her parents, Joseph Fermin Espinoza and Agnes Rita Archuleta Espinoza.  She spent her childhood years in Salt Lake City and later made her way to Payson, Utah, where she lived her remaining years with her loving husband, Sergio Gonzalez, and family.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Sergio Gonzalez; and her children: Maria Inez, Dalila (Shane) Robertson, and Elianette (Luis H) Gonzalez.  Also survived by her brothers: Sev, Chris, Perry, and Jesse Espinoza, and Dion Gentry. She loved her 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  Margaret is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, James Espinoza and J R Espinoza; her sister, Jennie Mitchell; and her son, James (Chema) Garza.

Margaret worked for Nebo School District as a bus driver for 30+ years.  She was a very important part of the Payson City Office.  Her pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met.

Our beloved mother enjoyed sewing, crocheting, fishing, crossword puzzles, bowling, baking, canning a variety of foods, and gardening.  The majority of her hobbies she enjoyed doing with her husband, Sergio. Most importantly, she loved playing with her grandkids and being with her family.

A viewing and Rosary will be held Friday evening, January 26, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 587 South 100 West, Payson, Utah 84651. There will also be a viewing the morning of Saturday, January 27, 2024, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meetinghouse, 274 South Main Street, Payson, Utah, from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.  The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday morning, also at the church.  After the funeral, interment will be at the Payson City Cemetery, 800 East 400 North, Payson, Utah.

Margaret’s family extends an invitation to everyone to come to a luncheon, at the church, immediately following the interment.
