Lynda Kay Thomsen Scott, beloved wife, mom, grandma, sister, and loving friend, passed away peacefully with her daughter Sara by her side on June 25, 2025, in Provo Utah, at the age of 82.
Born on December 8, 1942, in Park City, Utah, to Edward Ray and Florence Thomsen, Lynda was raised in a loving home and graduated from Spanish Fork High School. On August 17,1962, she married her sweetheart, J. Frank Scott, in Benjamin, Utah. Together they raised a family grounded in faith, hard work, and unconditional love.

A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in numerous callings throughout her life, always with a willing heart and generous spirit.
She had a unique ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Whether through a warm conversation, a home-cooked meal, or a quiet act of service, Lynda made others feel seen, valued, and cared for. Her life was marked by compassion, humility, and a tireless commitment to serving others.
Lynda is survived by her children: Sara Scott, Matthew (Brandi) Scott, Raeann Scott, David (Raeshell) Scott, Steven Scott, and Sherrie (Brandon) Creer; 10 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Avis Burrows and brother George (Karen) Thomsen.
