Obituary

Loris E. “Dutch” Diamond passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at the age of 88, returning home to his loving Heavenly Father.

Dutch was born on June 15, 1937, in Mapleton, Utah, to Steve and Ida Ludlow Diamond. He was the youngest of four children. He spent his entire life in Mapleton, where he developed a deep love for farming and a strong work ethic that remained with him throughout his life.

On May 5, 1955, Dutch married the love of his life, LuAnn Larsen Diamond, in Spanish Fork, Utah. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Jordan River Temple on September 23, 1995.  Together, they shared 71 beautiful years, side by side in love and devotion, building a lifetime of cherished memories.

Dutch and LuAnn were blessed with three children: Ed (Cyd) Diamond, Kathryn (Rick) Bringhurst, and Brad (Carmen) Diamond. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense joy. He treasured every moment spent with his family.

Dutch spent many years farming and later worked at Pacific States Cast Iron Pipe, where he eventually retired. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He found great fulfillment serving a mission alongside his wife at the Bishop’s Storehouse in Springville, Utah. He was always willing to serve those around him and was known for his quiet kindness. Dutch and LuAnn also shared a love of travel and created many special memories visiting places together throughout their lives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Ida Diamond, and his three siblings: Paul, Jimmy, and Farres.

Dutch will be remembered for his kind heart and deep love for his family. His legacy of faith, service, hard work, and enduring love will continue to bless all who knew him.
