Obituary

Kevin Mitchel Roberts left us too soon, on June 29, 2020, in Price, Utah.  He was born April 26, 1988, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Kimly Denten and Kenneth Scott Roberts.  He was their firstborn, and the beginning of MANY siblings, branching from multiple family unions, after  his parents divorced.

Kevin was an adverturer, a daredevil, a prankster, and a jokester.  He loved the outdoors and loved exploring, which sometimes got him into trouble, but that would always bring a bigger smile to his face. Did we forget to mention, he’s an antagonist?  He would often take risks that his mother, Kim, and his siblings would not find out about until later, which caused his mom to have more gray hair (color in a box is great, which gave Kevin another reason to grin).  He once called his sister, Kaylyn, to let her know he was in Mexico. When asked how he got there, he told her, in the back of a truck.  She told him to get his butt home.

He loved his family.  He was close to many of his siblings. He loved people, once he got to know them. Kevin has one of the greatest hearts ever! He would give away his very last belonging to make someone else happy. He was a simple man, with simple needs. He didn’t need money or possessions to make himself happy.  His greatest joy, and love, was his son, Dakota. He loved him with every fiber of his being.  He missed him and was inconsolable when Kota wasn’t with him, but he kept his pain well hidden.

To know Kevin, is to love him. The world has lost a great man, a soft-hearted man, a rare man. He will be so missed.

He is survived by his precious son, Dakota Mitchel Roberts; and by his parents: Kim (Jason), Kenneth (Cheryl), and bonus mom, Shar. Also survived by his siblings: Kaylyn (Ray), Kristen, David, Tucker, Mathew “Kyle” (Hadleigh), Porter, and Shalice (Jared); as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces whom he loved. Kevin is additionally survived by his grandparents: Lyn (Charlie), Richard and Leslie, and Beth.  He leaves behind his girlfriend, Corine Schultz and children: Kiara, Caydi, Aleece, Austin, and Derek.  He is preceded in death by his aunt, Nancy Denten; grandfather, Billy Jo Carter; paternal grandfather, Wendell Roberts; and by his youngest brother, Tage Keele.

We will always miss you, Kevin.  Go, be at peace.
