Kent Edward
Gull
Sep 11, 1963 — Nov 28, 2022
Kent Edward Gull, beloved husband, father, son, brother, and uncle left this mortal existence November 28, 2022, in Payson, Utah.
Kent was born September 11, 1963, in Payson, Utah. He was the son of Kenneth Loran and Lily Rae Crook Gull. When Kent was brought home from the hospital, he joined his brother Kenneth “Ross” and sister Wendy.
As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Kent faithfully served to the best of his ability any calling he received. He loved serving others and especially if he could do it anonymously. He did not seek nor care for the limelight.
During his youth, Kent developed his love for adventure and would rather be exploring the great outdoors with family and friends than anywhere else. He enjoyed hiking, fishing, hunting, camping (even during winter), riding his motorcycle old # 7, prospecting for gold, and stargazing with his big telescope up Payson Canyon. He became a certified SCUBA diver. He loved nature and capturing it in photographs.
Kent made his living in the printing industry and met his wife Carol while working at Bushman Press in Orem. There he operated a folder in the bindery and eventually ran a two-color sheet fed press. At the time of his passing, he was employed at PPC Flex Packaging, formerly Temkin, in Payson. He learned to operate several machines throughout the shop during ten years of employment at PPC.
Kent and Carol Rae Yeakley were married in the Las Vegas Temple where they were sealed for time and all eternity. They have been married for 27 years. They have a son Kyle Edward Gull who turned 25 years old a few days ago.
Kent is survived by his wife Carol and son Kyle; mother, Lily Gull; brother, Ross and wife Lori Gull; sister, Wendy and her husband Jay Staheli and their six children and their families; mother-in-law, Ruby Yeakley; and brothers-in-law, Aaron and Charles Yeakley and their families. He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth; grandparents, John Bryant and Rosetta Hanks Gull and Edward Walters and Vera Wyler Crook; and father-in-law, Bobby Ray Yeakley.
The family wishes to thank the doctors and technicians at Sanderling Dialysis of Payson for the care given to Kent.
