Kathrene Mendenhall Fuller was born in 1935 in Spanish Fork, Utah, to Max and Auline Mendenhall. She grew up in a loving home where hard work, faith, and family were at the heart of everyday life. Her father owned a local grocery store, and the family was active in the community and in the Diamond Fork Riding Club, where their love for horses and the outdoors was shared with many friends and neighbors.
From a young age Kathrene had a deep love for riding horses. One of her favorites was her loyal quarter horse, Corbitt, with whom she spent many happy hours exploring trails and riding in local events. Horses remained one of her lifelong joys, and she was most at home in the saddle or spending time outdoors. Kathrene had a way with any kind of animal, she could be considered a Dr. Doolittle of sorts. Some of her best memories were spending time at the cabin in Loafer Canyon, where she developed lifelong friendships, or as she would describe them, "The Loafer Family."
Kathrene attended school in Spanish Fork, Utah, where she was known for her cheerful nature and kind heart. After finishing school, she went on to work at Barbizon where she built lasting friendships and earned a reputation for her reliability and friendly spirit.
She married Jerry Fuller, and together they created a warm and loving home. They had two sons and shared many happy years as a family. Although she experienced the great sorrow of losing her son Max, Kathrene carried his memory with quiet strength and grace. Her love for her family was deep and constant, and she found great joy in her surviving son and grandchildren.
Kathrene is survived by her son Scott (Teri), and her grandchildren Jeramia (Michelle), Jimmy (Jamee), Nicole (Justin), Nate (Aimee), and six great grandchildren.
