Judith Ann Woodward
Waters
d. Jul 6, 2019
Judy Waters, beloved mother, sister and grandmother, died July 6, 2019 from complications associated with Parkinson’s disease. Judy was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho on January 22, 1940 to Calvin and Vivian Woodward. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Michael Woodward, and her daughter, Carrie Huffaker. She is survived by her children, Scott Waters (Tammy), Dana Puddington (David), Kevin Waters, (Linda), and Chris Waters. She is also survived by her beloved siblings, Christine Hyde (David), Bonnie McMullin, and Robert Woodward (Shay), as well as her 13 grandchildren, both natural and adopted, Kyrstie, Meagan, Vance, Christian, Chardon, Josh, Samara, Kade, Missy, Mark, Andrew, Richard and Brendan, and by her four great grandchildren, Chloe, Ciara, Elijah, and Manny Jr.
Judy was the daughter of hardworking parents and she incorporated that work ethic all her life. She attended the Mary Kawakami beauty school after high school and worked as a beautician for over 32 years in her home. Later, wanting a change, she took secretarial courses and worked for the late Dr. Richard Clark of Provo for a time, then moved to Salt Lake City to do what she loved, which was working with and teaching people to own their personal power and to give abundantly to a world in need.
Judy was also a fourth-generation chocolatier and she owned her own shop for a time. She was famous for her handmade cherry chocolates.
Judy was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held many callings and served a mission to the Columbia, South Carolina mission from 2009-2010. Judy had the voice of an angel and sang in many choirs during her life, and she became Springville’s First Art Queen in 1958.
Judy will always be remembered for her humor and listening ear.
