Joseph Lynn
Warren
Apr 26, 1958 — Apr 4, 2023
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Lynn Warren. His loved ones and friends know him as Joe. He was called home in the morning hours of April 4, 2023 a few days before his 65 th birthday. He passed away unexpectedly at home with Lesa by his side.
Joe was born April 26, 1958, in Payson, Utah to Marjorie Bird and Merle Warren, the youngest of 7 children. He grew up in Payson where he spent his early years playing ball, camping with friends, and loving the small-town life. He graduated from Payson High School where he was very involved. He lettered in sports and served on the student council.
He met Lesa Harwood in Payson, Utah. They were married in Benjamin, Utah and spent 41 years together. Together they raised three wonderful children: Katie (Bryce) Jackson, Selby Warren, and Charlie (Jenni) Warren.
Joe enjoyed being a father and loved his children. He recently became a grandfather to twin boys, Henry and Huxley. He looked forward to cooking with Katie, helping Selby make jerky, and working with Charlie to restore antique tractors. He loved each of them dearly and would do anything within his power to help them and support them. His new grandsons brought him special pleasure and he loved spending time with them and watching them grow.
Joe was a gifted man and was building, fixing, or creating something constantly. He had many hobbies and passions. When he decided to do something, he was all in. He loved working in the dirt and farming was a part time passion. He enjoyed raising cattle, gardening, and being outside. He loved to hunt and fish and was heard on more than one occasion while watching a sunrise to say, “isn’t God great”. He also loved listening to good music and had several large playlists. He was a lifelong enthusiast of guns and ammunition. Throughout his life he enjoyed training and working with his dogs.
Joe had a big heart and often did kind things for others while not wanting anyone to know. He was the kind of friend that anyone would wish to have, faithful to the end. He had a testimony of the Savior and enjoyed talking about Him.
He was preceded in death by his Parents Merle and Marjorie. He is survived by his siblings Marjorie Ann, Donna, Lee, Dee, Tom, Jim and many other family members and many friends.
He was loved by many, and the absence of his presence will be felt by all who knew him including his Wife, Children, grandchildren, siblings, and many other friends and family.
Joe enjoyed his privacy and as he would have wanted, a small service for family and close friends will be held by invitation.
