Joseph Brock
Faulkner
Aug 31, 1985 — Oct 14, 2021
Joseph Brock Faulkner was born August 31, 1985, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He passed away in his home in Vineyard, Utah, on October 14, 2021, due to complications from CoVid. He is survived by his parents, Tauna and BJ Faulkner; his sister, Sheree Storrer (Hans); and was an Uncle to Corvin, Lydia, and Layton. Brock loved the honor of being a Godparent to Dylan, Haley and Harper. He was preceded in death by Joe Faulkner (Grandpa), David and Elaine Schofield (Grandparents); cousins, Matt and Jessica; and his Uncle Tym Schofield.
Brock lived the first 28 years of his life in the Las Vegas, Nevada, area. In 2003, he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and graduated from Mojave HIgh School. After high school, he worked in a supply warehouse and then found a job at the Nevada State Veteran’s Home in Boulder City, as a cook. When his sister and her family moved back to Utah, in 2014, Brock decided to make a change and moved to Utah with them. He continued to work as a cook, at Stonehenge of American Fork, and eventually was able to get hired at Young Living. While at Young Living, Brock worked his way up from shipping and unloading trucks, to helping build and maintain warehouse equipment, and then finally, last December, he was hired into the IT Department. He was given the opportunity to start the path on a profession that had started as a hobby for him, since he was a young kid. Brock was never convinced that he could adequately do the job, but we want to thank Young Living for taking that chance and helping Brock further his computer knowledge.
Brock lived for the outdoors. He enjoyed target practice, fishing, camping and golfing; and, if he could get others to join him, the happier he would be. His car trunk always had a camping chair, fishing supplies, a blanket and extra clothes, so that he was ready to go at a moment’s notice.
Brock also loved sports. He grew up with a father who had a vested interest in different sports, and Brock followed right along, all the way up to his death. He was a huge Green Bay Packers fan as well as he rooted for UNLV, no matter how bad their season was going.
Brock loved the USA and everything it was founded upon. He was proud to be an American and the 4th of July was one of his favorite holidays. He loved learning about our nation’s history and our founding fathers, and he wasn’t afraid to educate you. Either, if you were wrong!
Brock was an M&M. He had a crunchy exterior but a sweet inside. He had a heart of gold, was compassionate and kind, and willing to step in and help wherever he was needed. He was tender hearted and could cry at the drop of a hat, especially if his nieces or nephews made him a gift. He is a loving son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend, and will be missed every day until we can be reunited again.
