James Brandon Houston passed away November 7, 2023, in Provo, Utah. Brandon was born in Vernal, Utah to Gary Ray and Linda Jenson Houston on July 17, 1962. Brandon and his sister, Julie were raised in Roosevelt and Payson, Utah where he graduated from Payson High School.

Brandon enjoyed music, playing the guitar, and had fun singing karaoke. In his younger years, he loved being outdoors fishing and hunting.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission for the church in Tennessee.

Brandon is survived by his father Gary Houston and stepmother DyAnn Peck Houston; daughter, Chelsey Marie Houston; sister, Julie (Steve) Wilson; stepsisters, Machelle Johnson, Steffanie (Carl) Williams, Amanda (Tim) Kobelin, Melissa (Grover) Ward, and Kristin (Rich) Wright. He was preceded in death by his mother Linda Jensen Houston, nephew Morgan Wilson, and stepbrothers Jeffery P. Langager and Quincy P. Langager.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 13, 2023, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 902 West 400 North, Payson, Utah. Visitation will be prior from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in Payson City Cemetery, 400 North 800 East, Payson, Utah.
