Jalee Lew
Anderson
Feb 8, 2011 — Jan 18, 2026
Our beloved Jalee Lew Anderson, lovingly known as “J” or “Jawa,” returned to her Heavenly Father on January 18, 2026, at the tender age of 14. Though our hearts ache at her passing, we are grateful for the knowledge of the Plan of Salvation and the comfort of knowing that families are eternal.
Jalee was a cherished daughter, sister, granddaughter, cousin, niece, friend, and teammate. She had a natural gift for nurturing, protecting, and caring for younger cousins, always watching over them with patience, tenderness, and love.
Jalee had a deep love for horses, and being on the back of a horse came so naturally to her. She spent hours outside with her siblings, working hard and perfecting her skills in goat tying and breakaway roping.
Those moments outdoors-learning, laughing, and growing together-were some of her happiest and will be treasured forever.
She was the most beautiful young lady, inside and out, and carried the light of Christ in all that she did. Her gentle spirit, sweet nature, and genuine goodness were felt by everyone who knew her. Her testimony of the Savior, Jesus Christ, was evident in her actions. Jalee loved going to the temple and found joy and peace in living the gospel.
Jalee was an accomplished and dedicated athlete who participated in clogging, basketball, volleyball, softball and rodeo. She was a determined competitor, a supportive teammate, and a hard worker. A bit of a perfectionist, she always gave her best effort and encouraged others to do the same. Her sportsmanship, discipline, and positive attitude were admired by teammates and coaches alike.
Above all, Jalee was deeply loved—by her family, her friends, and everyone who had the privilege of meeting her. Her smile, her light, and her sweet spirit left an unforgettable mark on this world. Though her time with us was far too short, her influence and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
She will always be our darling, sweet Jalee—forever loved, forever missed, and forever held in our hearts.
Jalee is survived by her loving parents, Jade and Maclee Anderson; her brother, Briten; and her two sisters and best friends, Maizee and Tillee.
She was preceded in death by her beloved Papa, Lewie, and her big brother, Bray.
