Obituary

Isaac Helton Holt was born on September 9th, 2007 in Payson, UT into a family anxiously awaiting his arrival. He looked up to his older brother and sister as examples and cared for and guided his two younger brothers.

He continually blessed others with his bright eyes, easy smile, and quick humor. He was often found serving those around him. He was kind and respectful and quick to make friends. He cared deeply about the people around him and worked to be someone you could depend on. He loved to see people laugh, and fostered positive relationships with everyone he met.

Isaac was ambitious with his interests and talents. He had a knack for mechanical things, often solving problems in his own unconventional ways such as creating a working bike for himself and his brother out of several broken ones. He taught himself to build computers at a young age and was learning to be an avid coder. He loved cars, especially the C4 corvette, and couldn’t wait to buy his own and try drifting.

Isaac was an active person. He went elk hunting every year with his dad and brothers and proudly harvested his first elk in 2023. He especially loved working out at the gym with his friends and could frequently be seen around the house in a muscle shirt or lifting weights. He valued his personal appearance.

In addition to his core classes, Isaac participated in many extra curriculars. Among them were Speech and Debate, Moot Court, and Mock Trial. He competed in various events in Speech and Debate and was thrilled when he won 1st place chair in Student Congress. His Mock Trial team went to quarterfinals in the state mock trial competition. He also competed in Model UN competitions and earned a superior delegate distinction as well as best position paper.

He couldn’t wait for the upcoming summer in order to work to earn enough to buy a car and to attend his favorite summer camps. He planned on attending a local tech college during his senior year of High School and completing the computer science certification.

Isaac died on February 29th, 2024. He was 16 years old. He is survived by his parents Brian and Sara, and his four siblings, Joseph, Olivia, Lincoln, and Grayson.
