Hugh Joseph McKell passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on June 9, 2021.

Hugh was born October 31, 1943 to Heber Joseph and Cornelia DeGroot McKell. He grew up in Spanish Fork, Utah with 1 brother and 6 sisters. After graduating from Spanish Fork High School, Hugh attended Snow College before serving a mission to the Western States for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. After serving an honorable mission, Hugh attended Brigham Young University. He met and married the love of his life, Sandra Lee on January 28, 1965 in the Salt Lake City Temple. Upon graduating from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, they then moved their young family to Spokane, Washington.

Hugh and Sandra were blessed with two wonderful children, Eric and Heather, along with 6 beautiful grandchildren. Family was everything to Hugh and it shows when you look at the love, friendships and lives that he touched. He will forever be missed and we are grateful that families are eternal.

Hugh is survived by his wife, Sandra Lee, his children, Eric (Tari) McKell, Heather (Peter) Capper, and 6 grandchildren: Ethan, Kaleena, Cameron,  and Mallory McKell, and Jack and Hannah Capper.

A graveside service is to be held Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 10 o’clock in the morning at the Spanish Fork City Cemetery. 420 South 400 East, Spanish Fork, Utah 84660.
