Obituary

Heidi Hammons Hales left this earth too soon when she passed away unexpectedly, at her home in Spanish Fork, on the morning of June 15, 2021.
Heidi was born in Payson, Utah, and was the oldest of five siblings born to DelRay and Julie Ann Bliss Hammons. Heidi graduated from Spanish Fork High School, and married Harry Kaye Hancock. Together they had three daughters. They were later divorced.
Heidi reconnected with and married the love of her life, Richard Hales, in 2013. Heidi and Richard enjoyed outdoor activities including walking, hiking and Pokémon Go; and, were inseparable from one another.
Heidi was passionate about gardening and had a green thumb – which we are pretty sure she got from her grandfather, Ferron Bliss, and we know she has passed on to her three beautiful daughters. Heidi’s sense of humor was unparalleled, and she could come up with a quip or retort to just about anything that would leave others rolling with laughter. Heidi loved her daughters and grandchildren very much and was a constant presence in their lives. Heidi was loved beyond measure and will be missed terribly.
Heidi was also a great cook and photographer, and had the ability to quickly pick up and do anything she set her mind too. Heidi loved to feed the birds (the blue jays would literally land in her hands to eat peanuts) and enjoyed beautiful sunsets.
Heidi worked at Nature’s Way for 12 years. While working there, she made many friends whom she stayed in touch with for the rest of her life.
Heidi is survived by her husband (Richard Hales) of Spanish Fork; her three daughters: Veronica Ann Hancock Anderson (Ren) of Spanish Fork, Erika Hancock Ainge (Weston) of Spanish Fork, and Rachel Hancock Hatch (Brandon) of Santaquin; and step-children: Joseph Hales (Aubrie) of Oregon, Rashel Zerkell (Hyrum) of St. George, Brian Hales of St. George, Porter (Shayla) Hales of St. George; her grandchildren: Kanden Jack Anderson, Renold Otto Anderson, Arthur Daniel Anderson, Lucy Jean Ainge, and Adrianna Lacey; her step-grandchildren: Paisley Hales, Paxton Hales, Freya Hales, Everette Zerkle, Ava Zerkle, Acyn Hales; and her parents, Del Ray and Julie Hammons; her sisters: Angie Hammons (Amy Powell) of California , Melodee Finlinson (Jeff) of Santa Clara Utah, and Tori Scott (Thad) of Clarkdale Arizona; and her favorite brother, Lane Hammons (Kelly) of Washington Utah; as well as lots of aunts, uncles and cousins.
The viewing will be Friday evening, June 18, 2021, from 6-8 PM, with a second viewing from 9:45-10:45 AM before the funeral service Saturday, June 19, 2021,  at 11 AM, all at Walker Funeral Home in Spanish Fork, Utah.
