Heather Ann
Larsen
May 6, 1966 — Feb 16, 2026
Heather Ann Hirsch Larsen was born to Richard Warren Hirsch and Julia Ann Foley Hirsch on May 6th, 1966, in Glendale, California. She died on February 16th, 2026, in her home in Elk Ridge, Utah at 59 years old after suffering from Multiple Myeloma and kidney failure. She was the oldest of seven children: Bill, Terry, Drew, Sterling, Theo, and Doreen. She married Eldwin D. Larsen on February 14th, 1990, in the Salt Lake City, Utah Temple. They had just celebrated their 36-year anniversary before she passed away two days later.
Heather had six children; Jonathan, Christina, Jessica, Daniel, Amber, and Ashley and five grandchildren; Captain, Aria, Lily, Gracie, and Eve. She lived in many different cities throughout her life, Glendale, Glendora, Los Angeles, San Gabriel and Rosemead in California, Vancouver in British Columbia, Las Vegas in Nevada, Highland, Provo, Orem, Springville, and Elk Ridge in Utah. She lived most of her life in Elk Ridge, Utah for 27 years, from 1997 to 2016 and 2018 to 2026.
Heather loved singing and had an angelic voice. She could always be heard singing in her house or singing at church. She enjoyed singing Hymns, Shania Twain, the Carpenters, Phantom of the Opera, Whitney Houston, and Bette Midler. She loved cooking food for her family and was a very skilled chef. One of her favorite pastimes was watching food TV shows like Beat Bobby Flay. She also loved watching romance movies like Sabrina, Notting Hill, Sleepless in Seattle, You’ve Got Mail and Monster-in-Law.
One of Heather’s favorite TV shows, that she loved to watch and quote all the time, was Seinfeld. She even quoted it in the hospital during some of her last moments, which lifted everyone’s spirits and brought laughter in a dark time. Before she got really sick, her son Daniel convinced her to try playing a Nintendo DS and she became a pro at Super Mario Bros. One of her favorite hobbies was collecting porcelain dolls, Barbie dolls, baby dolls, Bratz dolls and especially collecting toys for her grandkids.
Heather had a deep faith in her Savior. Up to even the very end of her life, she could be heard praying out to Him in her sleep. Her testimony was shared in her friendships and in gestures of love to others. She loved to bring gifts and baked goods to friends and neighbors. Heather was a wonderful example of faith and love to her children and grandchildren. She served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in British Columbia. While she was there, she and two other sister missionaries were assigned to travel around the mission to sing. She loved to participate in ward choir and many times, she was asked to sing in church and other settings. Throughout her life, her beautiful singing was a testimony to all those who heard.
Heather’s greatest accomplishment was birthing and raising her six amazing children with much hard work, self-sacrifice, and selfless love. She was a beautiful person, inside and out, as she was always putting others before herself, spreading kindness and giving all those around her every ounce of love and compassion that her heart could hold. She loved all her family members very much. She had a deep love for her kids and her husband, and she especially loved her grandkids. She made sure to always express her love to her family members and she gave heartfelt hugs. During her last months alive, she specially made a point to show our family how much she loved us with kind words, hugs, kisses and holding our hands.
Those who were close to Heather will always remember her loving and compassionate heart, the delicious and heartfelt meals she made and personal recipes she left behind, the angelic sound of her voice and the songs she sang, her elegant jewelry that she made us, her endless TV quotes that made us laugh, the sacrifices she made for those she loved and the impact she had on our lives for the better.
She is now at peace and reunited with her brother Bill and her father Richard. Heather will stay alive in our memories and in the beautiful legacy she left behind. She will be loved and missed more than words can express.
