George Lawrence
Tuckett
Feb 13, 1946 — Nov 12, 2025
George Lawrence Tuckett, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on November 12, 2025. Born on February 13, 1946, in Spanish Fork, Utah, to George Lawrence Tuckett and Marie Adamson Tuckett, George lived a life marked by craftsmanship, service, and deep devotion to family and community.
A proud graduate of Spanish Fork High School (Class of 1964), George went on to attend Brigham Young University before dedicating over five decades to his craft as a master stone mason. His artistry in rock work graces homes, buildings, and landscapes across Utah, a lasting testament to his skill and passion.
On September 1, 1965, George married the love of his life, Dorian Brook, in Payson, Utah. Together they built a beautiful life and recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary—a milestone that speaks to their enduring love and partnership. They raised three daughters: Tracy, Amy, and Eve, who carry forward his legacy of warmth, humor, and integrity.
George was deeply committed to his community. As president of the Payson chapter of the Jaycees, he led numerous service projects that enriched the lives of many. He also volunteered on the Payson City Planning Committee, contributing his vision and dedication to the town he loved.
His interests were as varied as they were heartfelt: cheering on the Utah Jazz, remodeling old homes, traveling, solving crossword puzzles, and gathering with family and lifelong friends. His presence lit up every room, and his stories, laughter, and wisdom will be dearly missed.
George is survived by his devoted wife, Dorian; daughters Tracy (Eric) Syrett of Tropic, Utah; Amy (Mark) Castillo of Highland, Utah; and Eve (Chase) Johnson of Orem, Utah; eight grandchildren—Alex, Shawn, Jacob, Ashlynn, Scott, Jordan, Ryan, and Makaya—and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Sherry Tuckett (Brian) Nordby of Seattle, Washington; brother-in-law Bob Blankenship; sister-in-law Karen Tuckett; and many cherished nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Marie Tuckett; sisters Marian (Ron) Astle and Ruth Blankenship; and brothers Gary and Larry Tuckett.
George’s life was a mosaic of love, labor, and legacy. His hands shaped stone, but his heart shaped lives. He will be remembered always for his generosity, humor, and unwavering devotion to those he held dear.
A celebration of George’s life will be held Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Walker Funeral Home located at 187 South Main Street, Spanish Fork, Utah from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
