Gaynol June Peay Sadler Spillner, our loving mother and grandmother, passed away on  Monday, August 1, 2022 while traveling with her family in Italy. She was born on February 19, 1942, to Clyde Walter Peay and Emma June Watts. She was a graduate of Springville High School and earned a teaching degree from Utah State University.

It was at college she met and married Jon Reinhold Sadler. They became parents to 2 children. Her life was devoted to her family and to her many students over the years. She was an exceptional mom and teacher. After the loss of her 1st husband many years later she married Richard Keonaona Spillner.

She started her teaching career in a one room schoolhouse. Later in life she achieved her master’s degree and was a devoted teacher for over 20 years before retiring. She loved spending time and traveling with her kids and grandkids. She was an avid reader, collected owls from all her travels, bowled on a travel league, and played cards once a week.

In recent years, she loved to watch soccer and volleyball which was a result of activities her grandkids had been involved in. She found joy attending many choir performances, orchestra concerts, going to school plays and anything else involving her grandkids. Her greatest enjoyment came from supporting all the activities of her 6 grandchildren and was always willing to sacrifice her time or money if they needed help with anything.

She is survived by her children Eric Sadler and Christy (Jon) Young. Her 6 grandchildren Orion Sadler, Brandon Sadler, E. Chance Young, Spencer Young, Asia Young, Jasmin Young; and 3 brothers Larry (Linda) Peay, Lexington, SC. Neil (Sharon) Peay, American Fork, Utah. J.R. Peay, Philippines. She was proceeded in death by her parents and spouses Jon Reinhold Sadler and Richard Keonaona Spillner.
