Dillon
Silva
Feb 17, 2005 — Feb 4, 2023
Dillon Silva, a son, brother, cousin, nephew and friend, born February 17, 2005 to his parents Ed and Kristin Silva. Youngest sibling to his older sister Kyla and older brothers Lucas and Nathan. Dillon passed away in his home after a silent battle with depression on February 4, 2023.
A young man capable of anything, from creating art, participating in athletics, or making life-long relationships. Dillon valued his friends and family over everything and he showed us with every action his desire to create happiness in the life of his loved ones.
As a young artist he enjoyed creating valued masterpieces on the walls of his parents house and in their hearts. As he grew older his artwork transformed into comedic sketches and jokes. There was no person who could avoid smiling and laughing when Dillon was present. He was so attentive to the feelings of those around him and did anything in his capacity to make strangers feel like close friends.
As a young Athlete he participated in sports like gymnastics, soccer, and football where he excelled in athleticism and leadership. He often dedicated his time to practice with his teammates even when he was tired and exhausted. Most never saw the amount of effort he put forth as he would wake up at 4 in the morning to lift weights so he could have time later for his family and friends. He loved football, but what he loved most was the brotherhood of his teammates.
As a son, his parents couldn’t be more proud as they watched him grow into an exemplary young man, Dillon always willing to lend a helping hand, always willing to share another’s sorrow, always willing to make peace. After almost 18 years this young man continued to show his beautiful heart.
As a brother he lives on through Kyla, Lucas, and Nathan. All of which love him more than words can describe, his memory will forever be a reminder of how happy they can make one another.
When extended family gathered he laughed easily and enjoyed playing with his cousins. He loved his aunts and uncles and his grandmas held special places in his life. He made unforgettable memories recently traveling to Brazil with his family, and on many other vacations with extended family.
And lastly as a friend, he touched the hearts of his community, from the peers who knew him well to the classmates he would have loved to know better. Dillon, we will always remember and cherish the memories we made together. He attended Maple Mountain High school where he excelled in the classroom and on the field.
Dillon is survived by his parents, Ed and Kristin Silva, Kyla (25), Lucas (22), and Nathan (20); grandparents Carolyn McCloy (Gary West), Marlusia Leiros da Silva (Manoel Silva), as well as many loving aunts and uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandpas Jon Lott McCloy, Telmo Miranda da Silva, and uncle Spencer Leon McCloy.
