Obituary

Diane “Di” Rosenbaum, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2026 leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and dance.

Born on October 12, 1954 in Liberal, Kansas, to Clement Lee “Bud” Malone and Virginia Lee Mowrer, Diane grew up with a passion for creativity and movement. She graduated from Muskogee High School in Oklahoma and attended Oklahoma University before transferring to Brigham Young University to earn a degree in dance, a pursuit that would shape her life’s work and inspire countless others.

On August 13, 1976, Diane married her eternal companion, Dee William Rosenbaum, in Provo, Utah. Together they built a beautiful life filled with devotion, laughter, and family. They were blessed with four children: Matt, Jaimi, Jilayne, and Julie, who were the joy of their life.

Diane founded Heart and Soul Dance, which began in her basement and grew into a thriving studio built on passion, discipline, and heart. She believed dance was more than steps — it was a way to build confidence, character, and connection. With more than 40 years of dedication, she inspired countless dancers to work hard, support one another, and fall in love with the art. The relationships she created extended far beyond the studio walls, becoming lifelong bonds rooted in trust, encouragement, and shared memories. Her legacy lives on in every dancer she taught, every lesson she gave, and every life she touched through her unwavering commitment to dance and her students, which she loved as if they were her own kids.

Diane’s hobbies reflected her competitive spirit — she loved puzzles, card games, and friendly competitions, always bringing energy and enthusiasm to every gathering. She served faithfully in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in various callings, where her unwavering dedication to children and her testimony of faith touched many lives. Diane will be remembered for her bright smile, her spirited determination, and the way she united others through kindness and love.

She is survived by her husband, Dee, and her children: Matthew Dee Rosenbaum, Jaimi (Chad) Sparks, Jilayne Warner, and Julie (Richard) Cummins; 10 cherished grandchildren; and her brother, Patrick Kelly Malone. Diane is preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Virginia Malone.
