She was preceded in death by both of her beloved parents Haig Menasian and Margaret Menasian-Mooney; as well as the love of her life, Michael Wiley. Carol and Michael married on June 16th, 1989. Prior she was married to Beal Harmon when she was known as CarMen Harmon. Carol’s legacy continues on through two brothers, Bob and Jim; two daughters, Jess and Adra; and Jess’s children Kade, Seda, and Zane. She loved her step children Shannon, Shane, Cyndie, Stacie, David, Brandon, and all the grandchildren very deeply. Everyone who knew her loved her.
Carol attended Liverpool High school and went on to Syracuse University and Onondaga Community College. She loved the arts, theater, and dance, and was a member of the band Heavy Agnus Plibb and the Steamrollers. She continued dancing later in life with her daughters in troupe Little Armenia, and Desert Goddess Dance Company. Her advanced studies in dance led to multiple travel opportunities including a visit to Morocco. She loved her job at Provo City Utilities from which she retired in October 2009 after 21 years of service.
Her contribution to the lives of many included being Moderator at the United Church of Christ in Provo for many years, and volunteering at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, UT. She was very proud of her Armenian heritage and shared her culture with everyone.
Carol loved nature and animals. She cherished her time in her tiny home on the side of a mountain she and Mike called Midge and Fidge Ridge. She loved gardening and spoiling her kitties.
Carol made a profound impression on everyone she met along her life’s journey. When she talked to you she was present and made you feel like the most important person in the world at that moment. She crafted true happy magic. Her sharp wit and marvelous storytelling captured us all. Her one true wish was for all humans to be kind to one another.
