Obituary

Carol Lee Argyle was released from this life on December 5th, 2024. She was born August 12th, 1936, to John and Georgia Hansen in the family home in Palmyra, Utah, with the exception of a few short times, she lived all her life in Palmyra.  She never wanted to leave her wonderful community.

Growing up she worked hard on the family farm as well as in the home helping with cooking and baking for their growing family.

She married Clyde Argyle on October 7th, 1954, in the Salt Lake City temple. She served in many positions in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She was a homemaker and mother all her life, but also helped supplement their income by working for a time selling Tupperware, then later working at both livestock auctions in Spanish Fork.

She loved baking and there were always delicious sweets on hand. She was a beautiful seamstress making her own clothes as well as her children’s.  She always sewed the girls’ school clothes, dance costumes, and prom/dance dresses. She also loved to crochet and make quilts.  She could always be seen with some kind of project in her hands.

Carol Lee is survived by her children Lee Ray (Machele) Argyle, Sharon (Robert) Cornett, Jay (Ann) Argyle and Joe (Nikki) Argyle.  Also 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Brothers and sisters Jolene Monk, Grant (Vickie) Hansen, Ray Bert (Connie) Hansen, sister-in-law Ann Hansen.

She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter Linda Marquette, brother Kay Hansen, Sister Marilyn Barton, and 2 grandchildren.
