Caridad Trudy Bargamento, beloved wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, cousin, sister, aunt and friend, passed away at home on March 18, 2024. She was born on August 1, 1953, in Hilo, Hawaii, to Cedronio Cabreros and Augustina Agliam. Cari was a loving and devoted woman who touched the lives of many through her kindness, compassion and unwavering love for her family.

Cari was the cherished sister of Peter, David and Benjamin, and she shared a special bond with each of them. Growing up in a close-knit family, Cari learned the values of love, loyalty, and resilience, which she carried with her throughout her life.

As a mother, Cari was a pillar of strength and support for her six children: Marvine Denise, Ellison, Julian, Krystal, Jeremy and Matthew Seiji. She dedicated herself to providing them with a nurturing and loving home, always putting their needs above her own. Cari’s children were her pride and joy, and she instilled in them the importance of family, hard work, and perseverance.

Cari’s love extended beyond her immediate family, as she adored her 11 grandchildren. She cherished every moment spent with them, creating lasting memories filled with laughter, love, and joy. Cari’s grandchildren were the light of her life, and she took great delight in watching them grow and thrive.

In addition to her role as a devoted mother and grandmother, Cari was known for her warm and welcoming nature. She had a genuine interest in others and possessed a remarkable ability to make everyone feel valued and loved. Cari’s kind heart and compassionate spirit touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Cari found great fulfillment in her role as a Senior Financial Aid Counselor at Utah Valley University. She worked tirelessly to assist students in achieving their educational goals. Cari understood the importance of financial aid and the impact it could have on a student’s ability to pursue higher education. Her dedication and expertise in navigating the complexities of financial aid made a significant difference in the lives of many students. Cari’s legacy as an advocate for education and her unwavering commitment to helping others will continue to inspire and uplift those who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her contributions to the field of education and the lives she touched along the way.

Prior to her time at Utah Valley University, Cari served as a Senior Program Coordinator at the University of Maryland for 12 years. In this role, she played a vital part in coordinating and managing various programs, ensuring their smooth operation and success. Cari’s commitment to excellence and her ability to connect with students and colleagues alike made her an invaluable asset to the university community.

Cari also had a successful tenure as a Telecommunications Manager at Northrop Grumman for 2 years. In this role, she oversaw and managed VCorps Telecommunications, which included responsibilities such as managing cell phones, Blackberrys, and Satellite Iridium budgets and payments. Cari’s attention to detail and organizational skills ensured the smooth functioning of the telecommunications department.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Cari will be remembered for her kind and compassionate nature. Cari was a strong fixture in her Ward, actively involved in various church activities. She found great joy in teaching Primary and connecting with the young women in her community, as well as attending the Temple. She was a faithful and dedicated Temple member who attended as often as her health allowed to demonstrate her love for our Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ. Cari’s dedication to her faith and her willingness to serve others made a lasting impact on those she interacted with.

In 1993, Cari reconnected with the love of her life, Kenneth Bargamento. They shared a deep and enduring love, and their marriage of 28 years was filled with countless cherished memories. Together, they embarked on numerous adventures, exploring different parts of the world. Cari and Ken traveled extensively throughout Europe, Turkey, and the Middle East, creating unforgettable experiences and broadening their horizons.
