Obituary

Brett Dee Davies, son of Verl and Geraldine Davies passed away Friday, February 11, 2022.  Brett battled valiantly against complications of Covid-19 and other medical challenges, but now is at rest and reunited with his parents and family. His amazing positive attitude never wavered to the end. Brett was born August 21, 1961 in Provo, UT the third of four children.  Brett enjoyed a happy childhood in Mapleton and Spanish Fork before settling in Springville these past many years.  He graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 1979. In his youth, Brett worked with his father at his father’s business, PHD Trucking in Spanish Fork. 1986 he and his father formed Auto Brokers in Springville, Utah. Brett loved working with his dad and did so until his father’s passing in 2010. Like his father before him, Brett possessed an incredible work ethic. Auto Brokers has provided countless nicely rebuilt vehicles for thousands of happy customers over the decades.

Brett was a friend to all and loved by many.  He was generous to a fault, extremely patient, and always put others’ needs ahead of his own. Brett was happiest when he was surrounded by family and friends in either a fast car or a fast boat. Many great times were spent on the waters of Lake Powell, where he proved to be a talented barefoot water skier and expert boat captain. He was an amazing host to all. He enjoyed scuba diving and loved fishing year round. He could fix things that were broken including people.  He was a fantastic listener and loved unconditionally. Spending time with Brett was always a happy, pleasant experience. He was an awesome son, brother, grandson, uncle, cousin and friend. He will be sorely missed.

Brett is survived by his sisters, Sharolyn Kane (Brian), Karalee Forsling (Michael), Janalyn McNeil (Todd) and 7 step-brothers, Michael Bowcut (Susan), Don Bowcut (Nora), Steven Bowcut (Marie), Jim Bowcut, David Bowcut, John Bowcut, and Carl Bowcut (Suanne).  He was preceded in death by his parents, Verl and Jerry and step-mother, Betty Bowcut.

Funeral services will be held at Walker Funeral Home in 187 South Main St, Spanish Fork, Utah on Friday February 18 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.  Interment will follow thereafter at the Spanish Fork City Cemetery .
