Brent Paul
Watson
Mar 22, 1942 — Nov 5, 2020
Brent Paul Watson, 78, husband and father, returned home on Thursday, November 5, 2020, after several years of health complications originating from a stroke. He was born on March 22, 1942, in Salt Lake City, to Ralph Curtis and Ardis Leoan Gould Watson. He was the second child in a family of one boy and four girls: Dawn Ficklin, Vickie Holmgren, Robbin Channon, and Jean Hall.
He spent some time in the U.S. Army as a Field Medic. As a young man, he served a mission to London, England. After marrying Pamela Brasher in the Salt Lake Temple, on June 14, 1966, they spent over 54 years raising two sons, a daughter, and welcoming 14 grandchildren to their family.
Brent was successful in several vocations, including carpet salesman, auctioneer, flooring cars, and as a real estate developer. He enjoyed serving in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in callings, including Stake Mission President, High Councilor, Bishop, MTC Branch President, and serving a full-time mission with his wife, Pam, in Provo, Utah.
An unabashed social butterfly, he enjoyed talking with anyone, anywhere. Later in life, he started showcasing his beautiful singing voice, contrasting with his love for humorously altering words in beloved songs. Finally, his testimony of Christ was powerful and unwavering to the end.
He will be sorely missed. We love you, Dad!
