Brandon Michael
Mccrae
May 4, 1982 — Jun 30, 2022
Our hearts are deeply saddened, but the Heavens rejoiced on Thursday, June 30, 2022, as our sweet Husband, Son, Brother, Uncle, and Friend took his last breath. Brandon Michael McCrae (Bran) was such a warrior and he fought valiantly over the last six months to stay here on this earth. He took everything with such dignity and bravery that was thrown at him. He just couldn’t win his last battle. Bran was such an example to his family and friends of what strength meant. He never complained even when he was the sickest, he always had a smile on his face.
Bran was born on May 4, 1982, in Hanover, New Hampshire to Tod Cameron McCrae and Janice Lee Bowman. He grew up in Littleton, New Hampshire where he had many good memories and amazing friends.
Bran loved the outdoors, skiing, cooking, cars, rock music, and guns. He moved around a lot and was an adventurous soul. He came to Utah in 2019 to help a friend and ended up meeting the love of his life, Lacey Sabrina Reynolds, whom he affectionately called “Love Bug”. They immediately fell in love and were married February 24, 2021, in Salem, Utah. They didn’t have a lot of time together but the love between them was evident to all who knew them by the glow on their faces.
Bran was recently baptized a Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on his 40th birthday. He loved his new faith, food storage, and bottling. He was recently ordained to the office of a Priest in the Aaronic Priesthood and looked forward to doing baptism for the dead.
Bran had a contagious laugh, the biggest smile, and the sparkliest eyes. He truly had a heart of gold. Everyone who met him fell in love with him. He will be sorely missed.
Bran is survived by his wife Lacey Sabrina McCrae (Payson); mom, Janice Alcamo (New Hampshire); brother Shad (Michelle) McCrae (Rhode Island); in-laws, Brent (Kathleen) Reynolds (Payson), Brett (Lori) Reynolds (Payson), Desiree (David) Young (Payson); nieces and nephews: Allie, Megan, Cole, Kylie, Keaton, Grace, Molly, and Donovan. He was preceded in death by his father, Tod McCrae, and his grandparents.
Daisy (Dukes), Violet (Vi-Vi), and Sammy (Bushy Squirrel) were his beloved furbabies and they will greatly miss him.
We give the sincerest thanks to the staff at Mt. View Hospital ICU unit for battling for our Bran until the end! Also, the many doctors, nurses, and family members who diligently served him.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 7, 2022, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 681 East 500 North, Payson, Utah. Visitation will be held prior from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in Payson City Cemetery, 400 North 800 East, Payson, Utah.
