Brady Jake Peterson, beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away on July 18, 2026, at the age of 40 after facing personal mental health challenges. His family shares this with the hope that anyone who may be struggling will know they are not alone, and that Brady's life will always be remembered for the love he gave rather than the pain he carried.

Brady was born on April 18, 1986, in Provo, Utah, to Denise Tanner and the late Rob Peterson. He was raised in Spanish Fork, where his life was shaped by family, hard work, kindness, and unconditional love. When Brady was five years old, Denise married Brad Tanner, who lovingly raised Brady as his own son. Together, Brad and Denise built a home filled with love, encouragement, laughter, and lasting memories alongside his sisters, Tiffany and Britney.

From a young age, Brady was fascinated by anything with wheels. He loved drawing monster trucks, cars, and anything mechanical, displaying an artistic talent and curiosity that stayed with him throughout his life. After graduating from Spanish Fork High School, he attended Utah Valley University, where he studied drafting before discovering his true calling through Mountainland Technical College, where he earned his Master Plumber license.

Brady first worked in an off-road shop installing lift kits, suspension systems, oversized tires, and custom wheels before joining Triple T Heating, Air & Plumbing. There he spent many years working side by side with his father, Brad. Those years became some of Brad's most treasured memories as they served customers together, solved problems together, and continued a three-generation legacy of honesty, integrity, hard work, and treating people with kindness and respect. Brady later joined Imperial Plumbing, where he earned the admiration of coworkers and customers alike through his quiet dependability and exceptional workmanship.

Those who knew Brady will remember his gentle heart, calm spirit, and genuine interest in others. He listened more than he spoke, making everyone around him feel heard and valued. If someone asked whether he wanted to hear about their day, his answer was almost always, "Tell me. I want to hear it." And after listening with sincere interest, he would often smile, nod, and simply say, "Gotcha."

One of Brady's greatest joys was being a father. He deeply loved his children, Bentley and Ava, who were born during his marriage to Adri Wilkinson. Brady treasured every opportunity to spend time with them, encourage them, and watch them grow. The love Brady and Adri shared for their children lives on through Bentley and Ava.

Brady later married Rachel Hansen, and together they built a home centered on love, conversation, laughter, and family. Brady lovingly embraced Rachel's daughters, Jade and Kenley, as part of his own family, offering each child patience, encouragement, and steady love.

His sisters, Tiffany and Britney, remember Brady as the little brother who loved teasing them until everyone around the dinner table was laughing uncontrollably. Rachel remembers long conversations that often stretched late into the evening as they shared dreams, memories, and everyday experiences. Brady also had a tender love for animals and faithfully spent time each day with his two beloved guinea pigs.

Although Brady quietly carried burdens that many people never fully saw, they never defined who he was. His kindness, compassion, humility, and unwavering love for others are the legacy he leaves behind.

Brady is survived by his loving wife, Rachel Hansen; his children, Bentley and Ava; Rachel's daughters, Jade and Kenley; his parents, Brad and Denise Tanner; his sisters, Tiffany (Kory) Ford and Britney Hughes; his grandparents, Vern and Diane Tanner, Karen Hazel, and Claudia Peterson; his parents-in-law, Laurie and Curt Ludvigson; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Katie (Jason) McCaul, Kalon (Robert) Ludvigson, and Logan (Ali) Ludvigson; along with many beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, coworkers, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rob Peterson, and his grandfathers, Gerald Hazel and Neil Peterson.

Though Brady's time with us was far too short, the love he shared, the kindness he demonstrated, and the countless lives he touched will remain forever. His family finds comfort knowing that every person who experienced Brady's gentle heart carries a part of his legacy forward. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
