Blake C. Thompson, age 60, passed away October 1, 2022, at his home in Payson, Utah. He was a son, brother, dad, grandpa, uncle, and friend to many. He left us unexpectedly and too soon. He was born in Payson, Utah, November 14, 1961, to James Clark Thompson and Fern Davis Thompson. He grew up in Payson, with his brothers and sisters: Sandra, Brent, David, Elaine, and Susan.

He graduated from Payson High School. He served his country in the US Army National Guard from 1981 through 1990. He married and had four children: Jacki, Jaycee, Nick, and Dani; he later divorced.

Blake’s employment took him to El Dorado Hills, California, for a time, where he became a supervisor with DST Outputs there, making many friends through the years.

He enjoyed golfing, watching college football and Lifetime movies on TV, concerts, fishing and anything outdoors, and spoiling his cat, Sasha. But, his most favorite activity was spending all the time he could with his family, kids, and grandkids – supporting them in everything they did.

Blake is survived by his children: Jaycee Thompson, Nick Thompson, and Dani Thompson, and five beloved grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings: Sandra (Gary) Bowen, Brent (Rose Marie) Thompson, David (Janice) Thompson, and Susan (Dale) Costa. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Fern Thompson. Also preceded in death by his sister, Elaine Openshaw; his daughter, Jacki Thompson; and a granddaughter, Zariah Etienne.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Walker Funeral Home, 587 South 100 West, Payson, Utah 84651. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home from 9:45 a.m. – 10: 45 a.m. Saturday morning, prior to the funeral. Interment will follow at Payson City Cemetery, 400 North 800 East, Payson, Utah 84651.
