Obituary

With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Andrew Mitchell Grzybowski, known to those who loved him as Andy,”Helm”, and “Coppertop”, on May 5, 2024.
Born on June 27, 1968, in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, to Andrew F. Grzybowski and JoAnn Grzybowski, Andrew lived a life filled with the joy of family, the camaraderie of friends, and the satisfaction of a job well done.

Andrew was a proud and accomplished machinist at Klune Industries, displaying a unique knack for precision and attention to detail that was truly unparalleled. His work ethic was only surpassed by his love and dedication to his family and friends.

A resident of Spanish Fork, Utah, after living in Prescott Valley and Peoria, Arizona, Andrew found joy in the simplicity of nature and the companionship it offered. He had a passion for life and enjoyed various hobbies, including camping, fishing, exploring the outdoors, collecting unique finds at yard sales and swap meets, and going on long scenic drives. Andrew was known for his love of fast cars, loud music, and his signature style of jeans, t-shirt, and a fisherman floppy hat. Andrew’s infectious laughter, kind heart, and knack for making his kids laugh were his trademarks.

He was infamous for good-naturedly embarrassing them in public and had the ability to strike up a conversation with anyone he met, making him an unforgettable presence in the lives of those who knew him. His sense of humor and zest for life were truly unique and will be dearly missed. Andrew was a loving father, partner, brother, uncle, and friend, and his spirit, laughter, and love will remain in our hearts forever.

Andrew is survived by his life partner, Shirleen Bowen; his stepson, Talon Bowen; his daughters, Breanna L. Brown, Madison E. House, Mackenzie M. Grzybowski, Kelsey K. Grzybowski, and Myla N. Grzybowski; his son, Seath A. Grzybowski; his grandson, Jarred Brown; his sister, Kelley Amenta; his nephew, Andrew Jester; and his nieces, Amber and Courtney Jester. He is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew F. Grzybowski and JoAnn Grzybowski.

In the words of Andrew’s favorite quote, “Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning to dance in the rain.” Andrew truly lived life to the fullest, embracing every moment with positivity, laughter, and love. His legacy will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

A memorial service celebrating Andrew’s life will be held on May 9, 2024, at 1:00 PM at 99 N 920 W, Spanish Fork, Utah.
